BGP is the highway between two countries — the internet runs on it. eBGP means routing between two different companies (AS numbers). Each company has its own AS number, like each country has its own code. iBGP is inside the same company (not in this lab).

Step 1

R1 (AS 65001) پر eBGP۔ BGP پروسیس اپنے AS نمبر سے شروع ہوتا ہے۔ پھر neighbor بتائیں: اس کا IP اور اس کا AS نمبر۔R1 (AS 65001) par eBGP. BGP process apne AS number se start hota hai. Phir neighbor batao: uska IP aur uska AS number.eBGP on R1 (AS 65001). The BGP process starts with your own AS number. Then define the neighbor: its IP and its AS number.

Step 3

R2 (AS 65002) پر eBGP۔ R2 کا اپنا AS (65002)۔ Neighbor R1 ہے (AS 65001)۔R2 (AS 65002) par eBGP. R2 ka apna AS (65002). Neighbor R1 hai (AS 65001).eBGP on R2 (AS 65002). R2's own AS is 65002. The neighbor is R1 (AS 65001).

Step 4

دونوں طرف کانفگ match کرے تو BGP session Established ہوگی۔Dono taraf config match kare to BGP session Established hogiIf the config matches on both sides, the BGP session will become Established.

Step 5

ٹیسٹنگ: show ip bgp summary — State/PfxRcd میں نمبر آنا چاہیے (Established)۔Testing: show ip bgp summary — State/PfxRcd mein number aana chahiye (Established).Testing: show ip bgp summary — there should be a number under State/PfxRcd (Established).

Step 6

پھر PC1 سے PC2 پنگ کریں۔Phir PC1 se PC2 ping karo.Then ping PC2 from PC1.

خرابی دور کرناTroubleshootingTroubleshooting

⚠️ BGP neighbor Idle/Active میں اٹکا ہے۔BGP neighbor Idle/Active mein atka hai.The BGP neighbor is stuck in Idle/Active.

✅ Neighbor کے remote-as میں پڑوسی کا AS لکھنا ہے، اپنا نہیں۔ دونوں طرف چیک کریں۔Neighbor ke remote-as mein padosi ka AS likhna hai, apna nahi. Dono taraf check karo.In the neighbor's remote-as you write the neighbor's AS, not your own. Check both sides.

⚠️ Neighbor up ہے لیکن روٹس advertise نہیں ہو رہے۔Neighbor up hai lekin routes advertise nahi ho rahe.The neighbor is up but routes are not being advertised.

✅ network کمانڈ والی نیٹ ورک روٹنگ ٹیبل میں ہونی چاہیے (connected یا static سے)۔network command wali network routing table mein honi chahiye (connected ya static se).The network in the network command must exist in the routing table (via connected or static).
